Job overview

Teacher of Humanities - MPR/UPR

Soar Valley is an outstanding school where ‘teaching is exemplary’ and ‘students are proud to belong to the college’ (Ofsted November 2014).

Due to increasing rolls and a maternity leave, we are seeking to appoint two highly competent and enthusiastic teachers of Humanities, to teach one or more of History/Geography/RE/Citizenship for the start of the new academic year.  The precise combination of subjects will depend on the skills and experiences of the successful candidates.

Soar Valley is a great school at which to begin or continue your teaching career!  Our caring ethos inspires success for all.  You will benefit from being in a school where relationships are a real strength, ‘students’ behaviour and attitudes to learning are exemplary’ (Ofsted 2014) and outcomes very strong. You will be part of a personalised professional development programme and experience outstanding facilities to support 21st century learning.

Further details are available on our website. Interested candidates are welcome to visit the school before making an application should they wish.  To arrange either a visit to the school and/or to obtain a copy of the details, please contact Smita Stone, SLT PA sstone@soarvalley.leicester.sch.uk

Closing date: 9am Friday May 5th 2017.

A  highly successful school with a distinctive character and ethos.

We have an excellent reputation for the quality of the education we provide, and are very proud of our students and their achievements. Our motto of ‘Aspire, Enjoy, Achieve’ encapsulates the ethos of our school where every individual is encouraged and supported to do the best they can do, and to be the best they can be, and tells of the positive experience students have both inside and out of the classroom.

At Soar Valley we value effort above all and believe there are no ceilings to student achievement.
