Teacher of Humanities 

We seek to appoint an outstanding teacher of Humanities to join our highly successful and supportive department. The successful applicant will be able to offer one or more of the following subjects to GCSE level (philosophy and religious studies, geography, history and citizenship). They will be passionate about inspiring our students and be a team player who works collaboratively with colleagues. 

We are a well organised and resourced department, with 4 large classrooms, and excellent IT provision across the school, all students having 1:1 chromebooks and widespread use of Google apps for education and Google classroom. 

This post provides exciting opportunities for either an experienced teacher or an NQT. We offer a full support and induction programme for all new staff and a commitment to continued professional development.

The successful applicant will be:

● Qualified to deliver KS3 humanities to the highest standard

● Able to teach one or more of the Humanities subjects to GCSE

● An excellent communicator who is able to meet deadlines

● A reflective practitioner who is willing to take an active role in the wider life of the school

● A strong team player 

● Passionate about the success of students, the departments and the school

All staff receive high quality CPD opportunities and there is a comprehensive induction programme for NQTs.

Tring School is popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages. It is a mixed Church of England all-ability school, 1500 on roll, over 300 Post-16. Academic attainment is well above average and improving year on year. The school strives to support and encourage individual growth within a caring community.
