Job overview

We are seeking an ambitious and passionate Humanities Teacher to join and complement the friendly, supportive and dedicated professionals within our Humanities Department.   You will be expected to teach History, Geography and Religious Studies across KS3.   There will be opportunities to teach at KS4 and GCSE, dependent upon your subject specialism.

Our Humanities Department has an enviable reputation for excellent student outcomes within a strong, professional and supportive team.  Year-on-year progress in History and Geography has been significantly above the national average at our school.

This role would suit an Early Career Teacher or someone with significant experience in either of the three subject disciplines.   Currently, RE is taught at KS4 but not to GCSE, although this could change depending on the candidate appointed.   If you are an experienced teacher specialising in RE, the school would consider a responsibility payment (TLR).

We are a rural school set within the stunning Norfolk countryside with around 840 students.  We pride ourselves on the excellent academic progress all our students make (typically performing within the top 20% of schools nationally).   Our staff comment on the uniquely supportive ‘family’ feeling there is to working at our school.   You will find a respectful and caring community of learners, eager to please.
