Job overview

Clayton Hall Academy, part of the South Newcastle Trust, is a successful school set in beautiful grounds in the suburbs of Newcastle under Lyme. We are a ‘good school’ (Ofsted 2013) with a history of high achievement and a mission to become outstanding.  We are part of a Multi Academy Trust and following conversion to Academy status we restructured our Humanities Department, implementing positive changes which are being reflected in results.

We now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and creative educator who can demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and expertise in all areas of the Humanities curriculum, to join us on our journey of continuous improvement. We have a large Humanities Department with eight experienced staff members, delivering Geography, History and RE at KS3 and GCSE, and ideally are looking to recruit someone with experience and/or specialism in Geography and/or RE.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teachers or NQTs to join a dedicated and committed team and further develop your abilities and knowledge within a supportive environment. As part of a growing multi-academy trust we can also offer the right candidates excellent potential career prospects.

We are proud of our school and our professional staff would be pleased to welcome you on an informal visit. Due to Easter holidays, visits can take place on Friday 21st April at 10am, if candidates email julian.morgan@snfederation.co.uk to confirm attendance.

Closing date:  9am Wednesday 26th April 2017 Interviews: Wednesday 3rd May 2017

Further details and an application pack are available from the vacancies page our website: www.claytonhallacademy.org. Applications should be returned via email to: vacancies@uetrust.org or posted to Clayton Hall Academy, Clayton Lane, Clayton, Newcastle-under-Lyme, staffs. ST5 3DN
