Teacher of Humanities
An innovative and inspirational HumanitiesTeacher is needed to ensure all students make progress. History specialism is preferred but not essential.
Grace Academy Darlaston, is a vibrant secondary Academy on the outskirts of Walsall rated by Ofsted as 'Good' in May 2017. We have approximately 822 students on roll across the Academy and are expanding rapidly. Following a period of under-achievement, our staff have worked exceedingly hard over the last few years which led to a substantial improvement in results in 2016 and 2017 and we expect further improvements in 2018.
The Academy is on an upward journey, if you consider yourself to be a teacher capable of helping us along that journey in our humanities department, you are more than welcome to pay us a visit to see our outstanding facilities first hand.
We are seeking a teacher with the ability to teach across key stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach key stage 5 would be an advantage but not essential.
- The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and influential teacher.
- In return we will offer the post holder exceptional leadership and management development/CPD.
You will be able to demonstrate unwavering commitment to raising student progress and standards. Like us, you will believe that social disadvantage is no barrier to achievement and that every student can share in the joy of education. Most importantly, you will possess integrity, good humour and moral purpose.
