About Strothoff International School

Strothoff International School educates girls and boys aged between three and 16. It is an independent, mainstream educational establishment. The school, which is located I the Federal Republic of Germany, teaches students from the primary stage all the way through to the secondary stage. Students are placed into house groups. These are called earth, air, fire and water. Every one of them also has a different colour to represent it. This includes green, white, red and blue. The pupils who attend the school are able to get their International Baccalaureate.

Values and Vision

Strothoff International School separates the students into house groups to make sure they have a sense of healthy competition throughout the academic year. It encourages them to make friends and develop a community spirit attitude. It also pushes students to take part in extra-curricular activities to enhance their CV and social skills, not just academic ones. The activities that take place during the year includes athletics, talent competitions, cross-country skiing and knowledge competitions. 

The school dedicates one week of the academic year to a ‘Week Without Walls’. The task involves teachers and pupils working together outside the classroom. They leave lessons together and learn and support each other in uncertain environments. The aim is to make sure they build new skills which will strengthen them physically and emotionally. The school makes sure students feel safe on the premises. The school hopes students will carry a passion for learning with them throughout their lives.
