Patcham High School is an 11–16 comprehensive school of 1050 students, situated on the northern outskirts of Brighton, very close to the old village of Patcham. The school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and we are in an exciting phase of development to become ‘Outstanding’. We are known for our innovative approach and we value CPD very highly.

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of ICT. There is some flexibility to create a timetable to suit the strengths of the applicant. There would be potential to turn this into a permanent position. 

ICT is taught alongside Computer Science to years 7 & 8 during discrete one hour a week lessons, with ICT and Computer Science being taught separately by specialists at Key Stage 4. Currently we have two classes per cohort following the ICT route. The successful applicant would be expected to teach both key stages and deliver an ICT qualification in Key Stage 4. 

The ICT & Computing department is a friendly, and supportive department who look forward to welcoming an additional staff member. We are a passionate department who actively promote trips and extra-curricular activities, which has resulted in very active after school clubs the successful applicant will demonstrate a willingness to help grow the extracurricular activities available to our students and demonstrate a passion for ICT.

· Have a commitment to young people and their development

· Have outstanding interpersonal skills

· Be committed to making lessons exciting and engaging for our students

· Continually reflect upon and improve their practice
