Teacher of Physical Education - Junior School

Netball Specialist

Full time to start September 2022 or January 2023

GHS is looking to appoint a qualified teacher of Physical Education who is also a netball specialist. The successful applicant will have a passion for Junior School sport, with a commitment to excellence and participation in sport for all.

Our sports department has strong links across the Junior and Senior Schools, sharing specialisms to enhance opportunities for pupils. You will be directly involved in the development and delivery of PE in KS1 and KS2 and will build on and contribute to our exciting range of extra-curricular opportunities for pupils.

As well as having a specialism in netball, the ability to coach athletics, cricket, gymnastics and dance is required; flexibility in teaching across the PE curriculum will be fundamental to the role.

Organised, and a great communicator with pupils, parents and staff, you will be at ease delivering extra-curricular clubs, squads, fixtures and inter-house competitions.

We can offer you:

  • a lively, dynamic, hardworking and extremely successful department, within a school where enthusiasm for PE and extra-curricular sport is high throughout
  • competitive salary, well above the national scale
  • membership of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme
  • a friendly and supportive staff team who work collaboratively, sharing resources and ideas
  • excellent facilities
  • regular professional development and well-being opportunities throughout the year
  • your own iPad
  • access to employee benefits and advice services.
