The Minerva Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Languages (French preferably but not essential). The successful candidate will work at Handsworth Grange Community Sports College.

Handsworth Grange Community Sports College is an Ofsted rated Outstanding School. We are in the top 3% nationally for pupil progress. We have been nationally recognised for our work with Pupil Premium. TEACHER OF LANGUAGES

MPR/UPR full-time 

Required for September 2018.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Teacher of Languages (French) to join our outstanding Modern Foreign Language Department. The position is full time permanent to commence September 2018.  We reserve the right, however, to issue a probationary period of 6 months for NQTs.

We are looking to appoint a Languages teacher who will:

· have very high expectations of all students at all times

· ensure the consistent delivery of good achievement and progress for all students

· contribute significantly to the continued development and success of the Modern Foreign Language Department

· be a positive team player with a strong commitment to professional development

· be able to teach typically good or better lessons to students in Years 7-11

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

​We are a popular 11-16 comprehensive school located in the Southeast of Sheffield, with a continual focus on school improvement, quality teaching and learning, care, guidance, and support.

In 2017 Handsworth Grange Community Sports College became the lead school for the Minerva Learning Trust.  As part of that role, we support other schools and share best practice amongst all the schools within the Trust.
