TEACHER OF LATIN AND CLASSICS (FULL-TIME MATERNITY COVER
FROM 25th April 2022)
We seek to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic Teacher of Latin and Classics. This is a full-time maternity cover position and will commence at the beginning of the summer term (Monday 25th April 2022). The timing of the maternity leave means that this position will bridge two academic years. The duration of this position will last until the end of the full maternity leave and our preference, in the first instance, is for an appointment that would like to take on that extended commitment. However, we would also have an interest in strong applicants who might only be ale to take on the summer term commitment, or a proportion of the overall maternity cover, in the first instance.
Yarm School is a highly successful 3-18 coeducational day school, situated in the attractive and historic town of Yarm on a beautiful stretch of the River Tees. Set in stunning landscaped gardens based around The Friarage Building, the school combines historic and modern accommodation and provides outstanding classroom, music and sporting facilities. Yarm School was founded in 1978. Since then it has become the major educational success story in the North East and the School is now firmly established amongst the country’s leading co-educational day schools. In addition to the Senior School, there is a Preparatory School, and a Pre-Prep which includes a Nursery.
