We are seeking an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher to join our friendly department and support the expansion of language teaching across this growing school.
The successful candidate will be able to teach Latin and Classics to students in years 7 – 11. Subject to student choice, one or both of the subjects may also be taught in the sixth form. Within the languages department, students study French, Mandarin and Latin in years 7 and 8. In year 9 they are also offered the opportunity to start classical civilization. In years 10 and 11 students can then opt to study both Latin and classical civilization through to GCSE.
The languages team are led by a head of faculty who oversees languages and English within the school.
The post is suitable for a skilled and experienced teacher, or for an ambitious person who is relatively new to teaching and who can see potential in making their mark on this new school. Newly qualified teachers are supported through their induction period in collaboration with ISTIP.
There are also opportunities to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school and we enjoy partnerships with facilities right on our doorstep, including sport in Hyde Park, swimming and fitness at the Porchester Centre and even ice-skating at Queen’s ice rink!
Teachers will be offered a great deal of support alongside many opportunities to share resources and good practice.
