About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified, knowledgeable and skilled teacher with a proven track record of academic success and achievement to teach A level and BTEC Law at Pendleton Sixth Form College. The successful applicant must possess the ability to teach students of mixed abilities, many of whom choose to pursue this subject at university. We are seeking someone with excellent subject knowledge who can demonstrate an ability to combine academic rigour with excellent student achievement. The successful candidate must be student-focused, possess a relevant subject degree and have an appropriate postgraduate qualification. The post is suitable for qualified teachers or ECTs and the successful candidate must be committed to providing pastoral support for all our students. As a Teacher of Law, you will be an inspirational and outstanding practitioner who promotes the highest levels of achievement for all students.   

 

The Humanities Department comprises of Criminology, Sport, French, Spanish, Law, Geography, History, Politics and Classical Civilisation. It is the largest area in the college with approximately 950 students taking one or more of the aforementioned subjects. The ethos of the department is to put teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do - we are proud to create supportive and academically challenging environment for our students to thrive in. We seek to appoint a teacher who is a willing and able to go the extra mile to help improve the life chances of young people aged 16-18 in Salford.
