Required for September 2017, a well-qualified and successful classroom practitioner to teach Mathematics. Primarily we want to recruit the right teacher to this vacancy and welcome applications from enthusiastic teachers of all experience, from NQT to UPS3. If a candidate wanted to lead a specific area within the faculty then a TLR 2:1 is available to lead the year 7 and 8 curriculum. Please let us know if you wish to apply for just a teaching role, or if you wish to be considered for the TLR.

The department is currently developing a mastery curriculum and is keen to further develop concrete and visual methods to support student learning. The department is investigating and incorporating elements from Shanghai Maths and the Singapore Bar Model. This year all our department have taken part in training on ‘variation’ with our MAT (The Minerva Learning Trust) primary maths leads in conjunction with Edge Hill University. The successful candidate will also be able to access this in phase 2 next year.

We are a high performing school in a beautiful part of the country. If you watched ‘Broadchurch’ then you already know what our lovely coastline looks like!
