It’s an exciting time to join the Mathematics faculty, having recently appointed a new Head of Faculty; a Specialist Leader of Education with a background of developing successful mathematics departments and supporting subject leaders in other schools. We have a clear plan of consistent improvement to support our ultimate goal of being one of the best Mathematics departments in the country.
Our Year 13 results are outstanding and we have consistently produced good results at GCSE and AS Level. We want to improve this to match our outstanding KS5 outcomes by developing our Mastery curriculum at KS3 and application to problems in context at KS4 to thoroughly prepare our young people for the new GCSEs, A Levels and beyond. The successful candidate must be able to teach A level mathematics as part of our expanding Sixth Form provision.
The Mathematics Department consists of 9 fully equipped mathematics classrooms, each with state of the art Promethean interactive whiteboards. There are also two break-out spaces in which to host various extra-curricular activities and interventions. If you have the drive, the commitment and an outstanding work ethic, then you will most certainly fit right into ‘Team Moseley’ Mathematics.

Moseley School and Sixth Form is a large comprehensive secondary school with a thriving sixth form. Moseley School first opened its doors in 1923.
