Reporting to: Head of Faculty and Head of Department
We are delighted to have an opportunity for an imaginative and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join this forward thinking and successful department from September 2024.
The role would ideally suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher who is committed to teaching at the highest standard and raising the aspirations and achievements of our students.
The successful Teacher of Mathematics will be confident teaching throughout KS3/4/5. In this role you will work alongside a team of highly professional and dedicated staff, who are welcoming, open-minded and supportive.
The Department:
As Teacher of Mathematics you would be joining a team of seven enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable Mathematics teachers with a passion for excellence and the provision of a range of opportunities to develop mathematical thinking outside of the classroom. In recent years, Westholme Mathematics students have been successful in gaining places to study Mathematics at both Oxford and Cambridge, with the vast majority of A-Level Mathematics students continuing to study a STEM-based subject after completing their A-Level studies with us.
A willingness to be involved in extra-curricular activities such as clubs, competitions and educational visits is essential, and other interests which are particular strengths of the successful candidate would also be welcome.
