Job overview
Teacher of Mathematics
MPS
Our expectation is that the successful candidate will develop and grow their subject over the next few years to consolidate outstanding results at GCSE and then A Level. Successful A Level teaching is desirable and a recent track record of highly effective teaching in KS3 and 4, essential.
We welcome applications from experienced teachers and NQTs. A TLR may be available for the right candidate.
Bristol Free School is part of the Russell Education Trust. It opened in September 2011 and in a short space of time we have established a very successful school. Students, staff, governors and parents have worked tirelessly to create high standards and attitudes at the school. Crucially this work has been framed in the expectation that students at Bristol Free School are here not just to achieve but to excel.
Students are making rapid progress, behaviour is exemplary and every member of staff enjoys a high level of professional support and training from the Senior Team and experts in our Trust. Following our first full Ofsted inspection in February 2013, Bristol Free School is rated as a Good school with Outstanding features. The school has also been oversubscribed for the last three years.
The School admits 200 children into Year 7 each September. As well as enjoying the brand new facilities which opened in September 2013, we opened our Sixth Form in September 2016. Multi-million pound capital investment into our buildings provides a superb learning environment.
If you feel ready for this opportunity, we look forward to hearing from you.
