Job overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our vibrant school community. This role is open to both experienced and newly-qualified teachers.

Thorpe House is an all-through boys’ school in Gerrards Cross which aspires to achieve the best academically and pastorally from all its pupils. Please see our staff cultural document detailing the expectations we all hold for each other across our strong team. 

As a Teacher of Maths, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of abilities and year groups from Years 6 to 11. You will be part of a strong collegial team that runs many extra opportunities such as trips to New York, Bletchley Park, Wembley Stadium and many clubs across the week. You will also have the potential to teach up to A Level, as we are in the process of developing a new sixth-form project.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about Maths and who has a proven track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons. You will be a good communicator with a friendly and approachable personality, and you will be committed to positively impacting our pupils' lives.

Thorpe House School is an all-through independent school in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, teaching boys aged 4-16. The Lower School (up to Year 5) operates on its own site and the Middle School (Years 6 to 8) and the Upper School (Years 9 to 11) are based on the main site.  The school has excellent facilities including a seven-acre games field, covered swimming pool and a new multi-purpose hall offering additional classroom space and increased indoor sporting opportunities.
