The Governors seek to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics, who has the knowledge to enhance student learning in this well-established, successful department. The successful candidate will teach across the Key Stages. We welcome applications from candidates with successful teaching experience, as well as those who will newly qualify in 2017.

St. Bede's Catholic School is a co-educational secondary with sixth form college in Lanchester, County Durham. The school has held academy status since 2012, and is included in the Hexham & Newcastle Diocese. The school is located on the A691, opposite Lanchester Cricket Club. The village of Lanchester has a population of 4,000, and is located 8 miles to the West of Durham. In spite of the village’s relative size, St. Bede’s is a larger than average school with a wide catchment area. The school is named for an English monk referred to as the ‘father of English history’. St Bede’s School has been a Teaching School since 2014. There is a Homework Club held every Monday and Wednesday after school.
