Charterhouse is a successful and ambitious school in an inspiringly beautiful setting. Founded in 1611 it moved to its present magnificent 250 acre site near Godalming in 1872. The School has over 800 pupils aged between 13 and 18, all of whom, except for about 40 ‘day boarders’, are boarders.
