Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics on a full-time permanent basis from September 2021. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a co-educational day school for Year 7 to Year 13 students in North London. The school are currently looking to recruit an exceptional teacher of  mathematics, including A-Level for the appropriate candidates. You contribute to raising standards of student achievement in the Mathematics Faculty area by teaching lessons and supporting the faculty leaders. Further, to support the academic teaching and pastoral functions across the school.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Teaching – Deliver high quality lessons that support the development of knowledge and understanding of students
  • Curriculum Provision – Support subject leaders in ensuring high quality lesson plans and schemes of work that engage and enrich students’ learning
  • Monitoring and Evaluation – Report on internal and external assessments to help determine students’ progress and attainment
  • Pastoral – Work with the Head of Year to support and deliver high quality pastoral care to students
  • Whole School – Support the faculty and whole school development priorities.  To undertake appropriate supervision before school, at break, after school and at lunch time as per the whole school duty rota
  • Professional Development – Attend and engage with continuous professional development sessions, with key stakeholders, to support the development of high-quality teaching and learning experiences

The Successful Candidate:

  • Relevant subject degree from a well-respected university
  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent
  • Excellent reference/confidential report
  • Able to prioritise and work flexibly to  tight  deadlines
  • Able to use data  to  improve  learning  and  teaching
  • Competent in managing student behaviour
  • Energy and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
