Teacher of Mathematics
A rare and remarkable opportunity that will change your career.
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics to join our Outstanding academy from January 2020.
Working as part of The GORSE Academies Trust, The Ruth Gorse Academy ensures that students receive an outstanding education that focuses on aspiration, high expectations and personalisation. Together these non-negotiable values instil in young people a self-belief that enables students to access the highest standard of higher educational provision and employment.
We believe that poverty and deprivation should in no way limit either the quality of a young person’s educational experience or the levels of achievement to which those students are able to rise. This was recognised in our Outstanding Ofsted judgement in 2017 when inspectors reported “Disadvantaged pupils and pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are very well cared for. They make outstanding progress because leaders ensure that they spend additional funds successfully to support pupils to overcome their barriers to learning.”
This is an important role in the academy’s development and the successful candidate, with support from the leadership team and the Director of Mathematics, will play a vital role in the creation and delivery of an exciting Mathematics curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is keen to be at the forefront of our organisational change and applications are welcome from experienced teachers seeking a new challenge and from colleagues hoping to secure their first post.
