An enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of Mathematics is required to join this successful department at The Grammar School at Leeds from January 2018 or April on a full time basis.
We are seeking an enthusiastic classroom teacher who is committed to the teaching of mathematics at all levels and who is willing to develop present aspects of the curriculum aiming to further enhance the department’s standing.
The Mathematics Faculty has an outstanding academic record at GCSE, Advanced level and Oxbridge entry. The department has eleven full time and three part time members of staff, all of whom are subject specialists.
The department is well resourced with a wide range of texts, support and enrichment material available for all abilities. Students participate widely in UKMT competitions and in both Individual and Team Challenges.
The successful candidate will have strong classroom management skills and will be expected to play a full part in this busy Department. Colleagues have the opportunity to participate in the wide range of extra-curricular activities available within the school and to support the House system.
