  • Do you want to develop your professional career by leading on cutting-edge research so that you can be the best possible Mathematics teacher?

If you have answered yes to the above, we are the college for you.

We are seeking a talented and inspirational Teacher of Mathematics to join our team within an outstanding secondary school based in South Leicestershire. In addition to delivering KS4 and 5, we now have our own Key Stage 3 students. There are a number of responsibility areas which could be combined with this role; these include Head of House and Head of Year.

Mathematics is extremely popular at Beauchamp College, with over five hundred students choosing to study Mathematics at Key Stage 5. We are proud of our established track record and this is accomplished through a collegiate approach, a desire for self-improvement, a good sense of humour and a positive attitude towards change. One student has summed up the voice of many by saying, ‘the Mathematics teachers are absolutely brilliant. They challenge us with their clever questioning and they just love Maths!’

The faculty is a committed and passionate team that is steeped in experience. We have over twenty teachers and two HLTAs as well as our own specific administrator. We also have our own dedicated classrooms and staffroom in the heart of the college. All staff teach across the whole range of courses and attainment levels. At Key Stage 3 our curriculum embeds the principles of teaching for mastery in Mathematics.  At Key Stage 4, we offer Functional Maths Level 1 and 2, GCSE, Level 2 Further Maths, Core Maths, A level and Further Maths.

We are excited to be leading one of the thirty-four national Maths Hubs across England. This is a fantastic initiative to promote Maths school-to-school support and leadership in the East Midlands region and our staff have access to all the new and initiative ways to teach Mathematics because of this.

At Beauchamp College, innovation is everything and our curriculum – in sport, the arts, the sciences and more – is academically strong as well as exciting. Students thrive here at all key stages, and we know you will too.

You could be an experienced teacher with an impressive record of success. You could be an NQT eager to start your journey with us. It’s your attitude and your passion for making things happen that will really count.

You will be rewarded by our amazing students’ passion and drive to learn, being part of a school dedicated to achieving success and a community passionate about education. We also offer an excellent pension scheme, Benenden health plan, a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme and free onsite parking.
