We want to ensure all pupils leave with the key numeracy, reasoning and problem solving skills to enable them to succeed in life and wish to recruit someone who shares this vision.  As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will be expected to ensure, through effective Teaching and Learning, that all pupils are equipped to use and apply mathematics in other areas of the curriculum as well as within the subject itself.

This position would suit both NQTs and experienced Teachers alike and offers a potential significant fixed term recruitment allowance for the right candidate, perfect for paying off some of those hefty student loans!

As Teacher of Mathematics at our academy, you will be expected to:

  • be passionate about mathematics and about helping all pupils succeed despite their background;
  • have high professional standards;
  • be committed to raising the achievement of all learners by ensuring teaching across the curriculum is of the highest quality;
  • be able to make positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike;
  • be able to plan and deliver innovative and inspirational lessons that engage pupils.

About us:

We are part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) and are situated in Corby. We host exceptional teaching facilities, including innovatively designed ICT suites and purpose-built laboratories. We areled by an inspirational Principal, Andrew Burton, who is committed and dedicated to securing achievement for all pupils and has high expectations of pupils.

In return:

You can be assured that you will be joining a Multi Academy Trust that is dedicated to valuing and developing the workforce through ensuring a fair workload and offering access to bespoke CPD from the Learning Alliance to enhance professional growth.

For NQTs looking to join the Trust you can be assured that we will invest in developing your practice to ensure you succeed. All NQTs are required to attend the NQT development programme where you will be taken through a range of core areas of professional development including induction and training days where all the NQTs from the Trust are brought together. This training doesn’t stop at NQTs as the Learning Alliance also offers programmes for Teachers looking to develop techniques and strategies to improve classroom practice.

Kingswood Secondary Academy has benefited hugely from being part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT). We are situated in the fantastic town of Corby, Northamptonshire. It is an exciting time for Corby as the town moves forward strongly with mainline access to St Pancras, excellent road links with the A14/M1/A1, beautiful villages and countryside, a substantial new housing development, a new town centre, an Olympic swimming pool, the Corby Cube – the list goes on!

At Kingswood, we have been steadily and sustainably improving and are now proud that our students achieve above-national-average outcomes; indeed, we are in the top third of Northamptonshire schools for the progress our students make. A huge part of this progress has been putting our fantastic staff at the heart of all that we do. We have a long tradition of training and developing our staff, but we are very pleased to be well on in the process of further strengthening and planning a very intentional and high-quality programme of staff development.

We are blessed with very high-quality teaching and learning facilities, including innovatively designed ICT suites, purpose-built laboratories, excellent sporting facilities, a brand-new Restaurant for our Y7 and Y8 students, and a dedicated Sixth Form area, to name but a few!

The academy is led by the Principal, Matt Gamble, who is dedicated to securing achievement for all pupils and has high expectations of students and staff, encouraging all young people to work hard and make the best of all the opportunities provided.
