Does Mathematics make you tick?  If so, we are looking for you!  

The Mathematics Department at Arthur Mellows Village College is looking for a new member.  We are a highly motivated, successful team who enjoy enabling students to be successful in Mathematics.  Full time members of staff are all based in their own classrooms which are equipped with interactive whiteboards and are well resourced with textbooks for you to use if needed.  

At Arthur Mellows Village College:  

• Students are well behaved and keen to learn. 

• Mathematics is enjoyed by students and its importance is recognised. 

• 78% of students gained a grade 4 across both Mathematics and English last year. 

• Staff are friendly and supportive. 

• Staff are provided with a laptop. 

• New members of staff receive a dedicated programme of support. 

• The school has recently been redeveloped providing a pleasant working environment. 

• A good gym is available for staff to use after hours. 

• Onsite car parking is free.

Arthur Mellows Village College is a vibrant, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive, situated in a very pleasant rural village between Peterborough and Stamford. Ofsted graded the College as ‘Outstanding’ for a second time in December 2014.  Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn, 

  • 70% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 4 or above.  
  • Over 20% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 7 or above.
  • At A level over 29% of grades are A* or A.  
  • KS5 vocational students achieved over 65% at Distinction*/Distinction
