Parkwood E-ACT Academy, awarded a ‘good’ from Ofsted in 2014 and March 2018, is a highly respected and supportive academy based in the north of Sheffield, easily accessible from the M1/ A1 motorway network. We moved into our state of the art building over Easter 2012. As well as serving a practical purpose, the new buildings and facilities at Parkwood E-ACT Academy has been designed to inspire the pupils and staff who use them.
As an established Academy starting in 2009, with a sponsor committed to social enterprise, we are now on the journey to becoming a world-class academy serving a very special community.
With improving standards, our expectations are high!
We are seeking to appoint two strong and innovative teachers of Mathematics to join our current department. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about encouraging and enabling students to be independent learners. We aim to instill our learners with a lifelong respect for Numeracy and passion for Mathematics.
We are seeking Teachers of Mathematics who:
- Have a passion for Mathematics teaching, and a commitment to raising the progress and attainment of students of all abilities through outstanding classroom practice
- Are excellent classroom practitioners with a passion for improving their own practice
- Consistently teach high quality lessons which results in excellent outcomes for students
- Are committed to the use of new technologies to improve their own teaching and learning
- Will not be satisfied until all students are making good/outstanding progress
- Will actively support the vision, and core values of the Academy
- Will bring an unwavering commitment to promoting the highest standards at Parkwood Academy
- Have an understanding of the Mastery of Mathematics and can implement this in their classroom.
