Job overview

A well-qualified and enthusiastic graduate specialist is required full-time to teach Mathematics as part of a strong and successful department. Examination results at all levels are outstanding; more than half of the Sixth Form study the subject at Advanced level. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching of Mathematics throughout the full age-range. A willingness to progress to the teaching of Further Mathematics would be desirable. The School has recently introduced 1-1 technology to enhance teaching and learning.

The post would be equally suitable for someone seeking a firstappointment or an experienced teacher. A willingness to contribute to the School's wide range of co-curricular activities is expected.

King Edward VI School is a leading HMC Independent day school for children aged 11 – 18. King Edward’s is a school with a long and distinguished history and it has been at the heart of Southampton for over 460 years. The School has occupied 4 different sites, relocating to the purpose built site on Hill Lane in 1938. It became fully independent in 1979 and co-educational in 1994.
