Job overview

Sybil Andrews Academy is a small, brand new school with approximately 400 pupils at present, all of whom are in Years 7 - 10. Ultimately, the school will grow to around 1,000 and will include pupils aged 11 - 16.

Mathematics is a major part of our curriculum, is well led and well resourced. The Mathematics Department has extensive experience and would provide a welcoming, supportive environment for an NQT or someone looking for a new challenge in their teaching career.

Our school opened in September 2016, is well resourced and benefits from calling a multi-million-pound campus 'home.' Effective teaching and learning are at the heart of what we do, so you will have excellent subject knowledge, be innovative and be committed to achieving the highest outcomes for all pupils.

We have a commitment to our people and offer a wide range of bespoke professional development opportunities both within the academy itself and through the Suffolk Borders Teaching Alliance. Our school is part of the Samuel Ward Academy Trust and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues there, or within the Bury Schools Partnership, abound. Destined to grow, Sybil Andrews is a dynamic school that offers significant opportunities for individual professionals to shape their careers alongside a friendly, enthusiastic and supportive staff.
