Caterham is one of the UK’s leading co-educational schools. We are a highly successful, ambitious and caring school that is committed to providing an inspiring education that prepares pupils for life.
We are well placed for access to town and country: the beautiful two hundred acre site is five minutes’ drive from Junction 6 of the M25, twenty minutes’ drive from Gatwick and a short walk from the local station, with several trains an hour into London.
Learning at Caterham School is an exciting adventure, full of opportunities for personal development, achievement and enjoyment. We believe that all of our pupils can be successful in an environment which is caring, optimistic and encouraging. Our results are testament to the uniquely supportive environment that is Caterham’s hallmark.
The School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified graduate to join our dynamic and friendly Maths Department from September 2020, initially for a one year period with the possibility of becoming permanent thereafter. The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator and an inspiring teacher, will hold a good first degree and have the expertise to prepare pupils for Oxbridge and other leading university destinations. The post would suit someone new to the profession or an experienced teacher and who is keen to contribute fully to the life of the school.
Caterham provides a competitive remuneration package and also offers:
- A highly successful 3 to 18, co-educational, day and boarding environment providing a wealth of experience
- A comprehensive induction programme with a range of personal development opportunities including outreach with partner schools
- Superb sporting, arts, outdoor learning and co-curricular facilities
- Excellent pastoral care
Applications will be reviewed as they are received and the School reserve the right to appoint before the closing date.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
