The English School is a leading academic school in Cyprus.

The English School of Kyrenia is a selective coeducational school of 950 students aged 2-18  The sections of the school are Pre-Nursery (age 2) ,Early Years (Nursery age 3 and Reception age 4), Primary (Year 1 age 5 to Year 6 age 11) and Secondary (Year 7 age 12 to Year 13 age 18).

In the Early Years section the curriculum is taught mainly in English with additional Turkish language classes.

In the Primary section all students are expected to become bilingual (English/Turkish) so that, whilst most of the curriculum is based on the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) taught by certified English native speaker teachers, Turkish Language and Social Studies are taught by bilingual teachers.

For the 2018-19 academic year, the Secondary section consists of Years 7 to 13 with programmes leading to the IGCSE, with the choice of IBDP or A-Levels in Years 12-13 (Sixth Form).
