The British School of Ulaanbaatar seeks an experienced and fully qualified Teacher of Mathematics for the 2020-2021 Academic year and beyond. Prior experience of teaching the National Curriculum of England and Wales is an essential requirement. Previous employment in the UK or International Schools following a British curriculum is highly desirable, although NQTs will be considered. We are looking for professional, flexible, independent teachers possessing cultural dexterity and a sense of adventure.

The climate in Ulaanbaatar is one of extremes, but the low relative humidity makes both summer and winter far more bearable than the numbers would otherwise suggest! Frequent periods of high pressure give rise to clear, blue skies which allow you to enjoy the dramatic scenery.
The airport in Ulaanbaatar is well served by a variety of international carriers with direct flights to many global hubs (Seoul, Tokyo, Istanbul, Moscow, Beijing, etc.) with new destinations being added on a regular basis.
Terms and Conditions
BSU offers colleagues an internationally competitive salary and relocation assistance on arrival. We also offer furnished accommodation on the School campus, full remission of tuition fees at the School for dependent children, medical insurance and flight allowances at the start and end of the contract period. A two-year contract will be offered at the onset of employment, with options to renew in the future.
Induction and onboarding will begin on 10 August for new colleagues to prepare for the start of term on 17 August 2020.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant degree and PGCE or BEd with QTS
- Experience of teaching the National Curriculum of England and Wales
- Experience of teaching IGCSE and A-level Mathematics
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to educating the whole child
- A high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of working with EAL students
