Job overview
The Australian International School was established 11 years ago as the first Australian school in the Middle East. Australian education standards are among the highest in the world and our results at A.I.S. are matching those of students in schools in Australia. Our students graduate at the end of grade 12 with either a Queensland Certificate of Education or an International Baccalaureate Diploma and go on to universities both here and around the world. On national assessments of literacy and numeracy we are meeting and exceeding Australian standards.
AIS has consciously built strong traditions of:
- Quality
- Cultural Respect
- Innovative curriculum based on the future needs of students
- Safe, supportive and disciplined school environment
- Positive relationships between all stakeholders
We are seeking a Senior Mathematics Teacher for our team for a January 2018 start. Do you have a passion for teaching, want to experience Arabian culture whilst working with western teachers in a quality international School? Then we want to hear from you now!
Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in Maths or similar, and a post graduate teaching diploma or Bachelor of Education from a Western University are mandatory.
Experience - Minimum of two years full-time teaching experience. Preference will be given to teachers with experience in Australian schools, particularly the Queensland Certificate of Education.
A package including salary, on-site accommodation, medical insurance and annual return airfare make this an exciting and competitive teaching opportunity in the Middle East.
