Queen Elizabeth Grammar School
(HMC Day School, 700 Boys 11 – 18 years)
Teacher of Mathematics
QEGS has a long and distinguished history educating bright students from a wide catchment centred on the cathedral city of Wakefield. Ours is a happy, vibrant school offering high quality facilities and a learning environment which is energetic, challenging and fun.
With effect from September 2019 we are looking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher of mathematics to teach across the secondary age range from KS3 to A Level.
Applications are equally welcome from a newly qualified teacher (for whom statutory induction would be provided) or from a more experienced applicant. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to work with talented pupils and dedicated staff.
A willingness to contribute to the wider life of this busy day school would also be an advantage. We are also interested in candidates who might also be able to teach Computer Science as we are offering a GCSE course for the first time from September (see our separate advert under Information Technology)
Salary is MPS/UPS plus the Wakefield Allowance. The Teachers’ Pension Scheme is also applicable. As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check.
Further details and an application form can be obtained from our website or The Headmaster, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Northgate, Wakefield, WF1 3QX
