Job overview

Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is a very successful secondary school for pupils aged 11 - 19 with moderate/specific learning difficulties and additional needs including autism. The school is outstanding in all areas as judged in its most recent Ofsted report and recently gained Autism Accreditation with Advanced Status.

Due to our increased number of pupils on roll from September 2024, we are seeking to appoint an excellent, wellqualified and inspirational teacher to join our Mathematics department within this exceptionally successful school. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated practitioner who is child-centred and able to meet the diverse needs of young people who have difficulties within a learning and social environment. You must be fully inclusive and interested in the development of the whole child, able to differentiate work and your teaching to meet a range of social, emotional and academic needs. The successful candidate will also be able to create a high-quality learning environment in which pupils are passionate about learning, maintain high standards of planning, assessment and record keeping, and communicate effectively with staff, parents and students. Along with maths departmental colleagues they will plan, implement and monitor a range of strategies to promote a love of maths across the school community. Ability to teach Key Stage 3, 4 and or 5 up to GCSE level

Clare Mount offers you:

  • As part of the staff team, you will have the opportunity to work with great colleagues and develop your career through an outstanding professional development programme.
  • You will be encouraged to be a reflective and open practitioner and be supported by the expertise of experienced colleagues to develop yourself as an outstanding teacher.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All applicants will be considered on the basis of suitability for the post regardless of sex, race or disability.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Level DBS check.

Thank you for taking an interest in our school and we look forward to receiving your application.
