Job overview

This is an exciting time for Ormskirk School as we have now formally joined Endeavour Learning Trust, taking full advantage of an existing partnership which is rapidly transforming our school, and which has already provided a wide range of opportunities for staff and students alike over the past three years.

This post presents an exciting opportunity to join an ever-improving department within faculty that is committed to engaging our students in all aspects of its provision.

We wish to appoint a driven, innovative and inspiring Teacher of Maths, who will contribute to the development and improvement of the Maths curriculum. The suitable candidate should be able to deliver inspirational learning throughout Key Stage 3 and at GCSE. For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity to contribute to teaching at A Level. Experience of teaching A Level is desirable but not essential.

The team of staff currently in place is optimistic and completely committed to the rapid and sustainable improvements currently taking place, firmly rooted in the existing good practice already evident in the school and across the Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and energetic specialist practitioner to join our staff team at a very important time in the school’s development.

We expect the successful candidate to have the ability to lead by example, raise student achievement for all and to inspire our students in the study of Maths.

In return we offer supportive leadership at all levels, a positive learning environment, on-going professional development and the opportunity to make a difference working in a thriving school with wonderful young people, of whom we are very proud.

As part of the interview, you will be asked to plan and deliver a lesson and then discuss it with the panel.

This position is suitable for ECTs
