Job overview

 We wish to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Maths Teacher. We are looking for someone to join our team of dynamic and motivated teachers who strives to deliver outstanding lessons across all phases.  The department is well led by a committed and passionate Head of Department, supported by outstanding practitioners.  A real strength of the department is its openness to challenge and consideration of how to move things forward. The quality of lessons taught across the department demonstrates clear links to skills, effective lesson planning, progression of all students and differentiated teaching techniques which are well suited to the ability levels of the children. The person appointed will be working under the direction of the Mathematics Department to plan, teach and assess pupils across the phases.   Building on our values of resilience, respect, responsibility and curiosity, we are seeking a candidate who will drive and nurture the holistic development of each individual student, challenging them in both their academic progress and the characteristics they hold, so that they can become the compelling individuals of the future.   

Colston’s Girls’ School (CGS) is the flagship school of the CGS Trust, a multi-academy Trust formed in 2012 which seeks to provide outstanding education for its pupils. Currently the Trust comprises of six schools – CGS, the Dolphin School, Kingfisher School, Fairlawn School and Bannerman Road Community Academy and Barton Hill Primary – with a vision to expand further over the coming period.   

The closing date for applications is Friday 24 February 2017 at 12 Noon 

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on Friday 3 March 2017   

Salary – CGST  Teacher Main Scale points 1-9, £22,465-£37,605
