The British International School of Stockholm wishes to employ a qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics and Computing Teacher

The successful candidates will:

  • Have proven experience of teaching Mathematics and / or Computing  from Year 7 to 9 and one of them to (I)GCSE level.
  • Be an excellent team player, willing to work collaboratively and support the ongoing development of the Mathematics and Computing department
  • Demonstrate a creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
  • Be skilled in using digital tools for teaching (example: Google Workspace for Education, Touch Screen boards and Chromebooks)
  • Be a reflective practitioner and embrace opportunities for continuous professional learning


In addition, applicants should:

  • Be a fully qualified teacher (UK BEd or PGCE with relevant degree, or hold the equivalent recognised teaching qualifications from other countries)
  • Have a minimum two years’ relevant teaching experience
  • Be a fluent English speaker

The School

Meeting internationally recognised standards of excellence, the British International School of Stockholm is the only accredited member of COBIS (the Council of British International Schools) in Sweden and received an excellent COBIS Patron Accrediation report recently. The school is situated across two campuses in Djursholm, a beautiful suburb of Stockholm. It caters for the Nursery to Year 13 age range and enjoys an excellent reputation for both its academic progress and achievement, and its pastoral care.

About British International School of Stockholm

British International School of Stockholm is a co-educational all-through independent school based in Danderyd in Sweden.

The school was founded in 1980 and was initially run from a historic house in Danderyd called Borgen. It moved to its present location in Östra Valhallavägen in 1985. Originally called the British Primary School, the school chose to update its name to British International Primary School of Stockholm in 2000 before removing the word “primary” when the school expanded to include secondary children in 2014. The name is intended to reflect the fact that it is a truly international school with over 45 nationalities represented among pupils.
