Are you committed to helping young people in a special needs environment to stay healthy, safe and prepare for life and work in modern Britain?
Braidwood is a very successful secondary school for Deaf young people aged 11-19 in purpose built accommodation. Our young people come from across the Midland region and represent the full academic spectrum. Many of our students have a range of special needs including communication and interaction; cognition and learning; social, emotional and mental health difficulties; and sensory and/or physical needs. We pursue a Total Communication approach which means we fit our methods of communication to the needs of each learner.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Enjoys teaching Maths
- Has enthusiasm and commitment
- Is able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills
- Would like to teach Deaf learners
If you do not currently have Teacher of the Deaf status or BSL skills, we will provide you with all the support you need to obtain them.
