The Oaks Academy (TOA), Crewe is part of The Learning Alliance (TLA) which serves families from Congleton, Crewe, Knutsford and parts of North Staffordshire. It includes Congleton High School, The Oaks Academy, Black Firs Primary School, Castle Primary School, The Knutsford Academy, The Knutsford Studio, Edgerton Primary School and Sir William Stanier. We are seeking to appoint an excellent and enthusiastic Maths teacher. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Maths and how it fits into the wider world. Someone who has the vision, energy and inter-personal skills required to inspire, and motivate our students to achieve their full potential.
The Maths team at the Oaks academy is at an exciting stage of its development as we look to embed a bespoke curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and dedicated colleague who can display the capacity for alternative thought and an infectious enthusiasm for maths and all things Number. You will be joining a highly professional, supportive and committed team where a focus on achieving the best for our students is our priority.
Maths is very popular at all levels throughout the school and students are both receptive and responsive in Maths lessons. From September Year 10 students will be studying for either AQA or Edexcel maths GCSE dependent on their level.
The successful candidate will either be an outstanding NQT or have a strong track record of success in teaching Mathematics for all abilities up to at least GCSE. He or she will be expected to contribute to our positive learning culture amongst staff and students.
