Job overview

Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust (KMAT) has a vacancy for a Teacher of Maths from May 2024. The first year of the role will be located at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form. The role thereafter will be located at The Westwood Academy, Coventry (from year two). The KMAT has two schools within the Trust and this role will provide the opportunity for collaboration across the two schools.

Kenilworth School and Sixth Form’s Ofsted report of November 2023 rates the school as Outstanding in all five areas, maintaining an Outstanding status from the Ofsted inspection of 2013. This is an exciting time to join us as Kenilworth School has moved into a newly built, bespoke school on Glasshouse Lane, Kenilworth in September 2023.

Kenilworth School and Sixth Form is the only secondary school in the community of Kenilworth and is oversubscribed with engaged, motivated and well behaved pupils.

The school is well resourced to support the delivery of the subject. All classrooms are equipped with a 75” touchscreen display. The post holder will join a supportive team with opportunities for professional development.

Our educational ethos encourages our students to be responsive, resilient, to have reasoning, be reflective and resourceful in their learning.

The Westwood Academy are proud of their pastoral care, which maintains a feeling of community in a growing school.

The school works tirelessly to ensure that every pupil’s potential is successfully achieved, through excellent teaching, the establishment of positive learning relationships, effective assessment and constructive feedback.

We would welcome applications from ECTs or experienced teachers.

We can offer you:

·        Excellent CPD opportunities

Why would you join Kenilworth School & Sixth Form?

We have just moved into a brand new purpose build site with state of the art facilities, the school was recently ranked as the fourth best comprehensive school in the West Midlands in the Times Best Schools 2024, our Ofsted inspection in November 2023, accredited the school with an Outstanding grading in every category, stating, 'the school is a centre of excellence' and our Progress 8 score for 2023 puts us in the highest category.  This underpins the commitment and values that our staff strive hard to achieve and exceed for our students.

However, above all of this is the sense of pride the whole community has for the school, and the focus upon staff and student well-being. This is reflected in the far reaching enthusiasm of our students to support  local and national charities and rise to challenges at sporting and academic events around the country.

As a staff member you would benefit from our employee assistance programme- physiotherapy, 24/7 GP and mental health support, retail and gym discounts, free flu vaccination, free on-site gym, a laptop, free electric car charging.

This is not an exhaustive list, but just a few reasons to be a proud member of this school and community.

Before you do apply, please take a moment to look around our website, www.ksn.org.uk, where you can gain an insight into our students’ activities and achievements.

Thank you
