TEACHER OF MATHS
Required for September 2017
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious teacher of Maths who will participate in all aspects of the Maths Department’s work. We have a strong Maths team and this post would suit an NQT/trainee particularly well. This is a great opportunity for someone to be part of our journey towards becoming a good school.
We are hoping to appoint a creative teacher with excellent communication skills along with an infectious enthusiasm for teaching Maths to work within a well-resourced and vibrant department. If you are interested but not yet qualified as a teacher then please do contact us as we are keen to support and fund the teaching training element in order to secure the best person for our students.
Maths is a popular and successful subject at Fernhill and GCSE results have held up well despite the national challenges there have been. We have worked closely with the Local Authority in developing our new KS3 curriculum and are forging strong partnerships with our feeder schools and the maths curriculum they follow. We would want our new colleague to be part of that work.
If you would like to contribute to our exciting future please contact Sarah Stanton, PA to the Headteacher. Visits to the school are welcome and to be encouraged.
Please email a completed application form which can be found on our website www.fernhill.hants.sch.uk to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in line with the school’s policies and procedures. A satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this role.
