Teacher of Maths

With effect from 1st January 2019, we are seeking a Teacher of Mathematics to join our dedicated and talented team.  This is a full time, permanent role that carries a TLR2a for the co-ordination of numeracy and intervention within the department.  

Siddal Moor is a school with excellent facilities and a committed, hard-working and supportive staff.    The school is involved in a partnership arrangement with Hollingworth Academy – an outstanding local secondary school – and the two are working hard together to drive school improvement and ensure that children make the progress they are capable of.  

The next few years will be an exciting time to join the school as it embarks upon its school improvement journey and builds upon the strengths identified by Ofsted.    

The successful candidate will:  

• Have the ability to teach Maths  across the whole age and ability range 

• Possess an understanding of the current educational issues facing an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school 

• If an experienced teacher, have a record of successful KS4 outcomes 

• Be able to articulate their vision for developing numeracy and intervention within the department
