Cardinal Heenan ‘is a harmonious community where students from different backgrounds get on well together, and are respectful of each other and of adults. (Ofsted 2014). Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School values religious studies. Children are encouraged to demonstrate their talents and develop new skills by following the rules of Christianity. Therefore, Religious Education is one of the most valued subjects at the school. Their aim is to respect others and make the world a better place to live in. Worshiping Christ is valued and pupils’ achievement is celebrated by all. Students should also be tolerant of people from all backgrounds of life.

The proportion of students across all year groups making more than the progress expected of them is rising as a result of good teaching. The school’s work to keep children safe is outstanding.
