Join us and you will be part of a fantastic Mathematics Department with a strong team ethos. Our school is dedicated to evidence-based practice with a focus on Rosenshine’s principles of instruction, and we have a strong emphasis on incorporating educational research in to the classroom. We believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things as we develop innovative teaching and learning strategies. 

The department has recently achieved record results at GCSE with 14% of students attaining a Grade 9 and 50% of all students attaining a Grade 7 or higher. Record results have also been achieved at A Level with 78% of students attaining A*- B Grades. In other words, there’s never been a better time to join us. We have a strong offer at KS4, running GCSE Statistics alongside as an option subject, and at A Level we have high uptake, with four A level groups, a Core Maths cohort and a Further Maths group. Therefore, some experience of teaching at KS5 would be beneficial although not essential. A real interest in developing teaching and learning is also important.

The department’s success is reflected throughout this ambitious and consistently oversubscribed 11-19 school, which enjoys strong community and international links.  Our commitment to excellence in education is recognised nationally.   Ofsted describe us as a ‘good school with outstanding features’.
