Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge is a school on a rapid journey of improvement. Over the last twelve months, we have moved into the top 15% of schools in Oxfordshire for progress, we have academised with a successful and forward-thinking local trust (Maiden Erlegh Trust) and have the foundations and support to provide excellent learning opportunities for all our students. 

Our focus is ensuring all students receive a high quality education and leave us as well-qualified and well-rounded young adults. You would be joining a Maths department of optimistic, talented and supportive colleagues, and teaching dynamic, ambitious and positive students.

Professional development is a strength and we offer a flexible CPD programme which staff can tailor to their own needs. As a Teaching School we offer a bespoke programme of coaching and training for new entrants to the profession and to support career returners. We also have a proven track record of supporting ambitious staff to middle and senior leadership posts and our can offer Specialist Leader of Education and school improvement opportunities to the right candidates.

Staff wellbeing is a priority and a key factor in school improvement decisions. We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements including part time working and job-sharing.

Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge is a small but growing community secondary school serving the families of South Oxfordshire and North Reading.

The school joined Maiden Erlegh Trust in August 2018 and are on a journey of improvement.

Expectations of ourselves, our students and the wider community of the school are high.  We provide a rich and varied curriculum as well as an extensive range of extra-curricular and sporting activities.
