Teacher of Maths

We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our friendly and forward-thinking team at Greater Peterborough University Technology College (GPUTC) from September 2024. This is an ideal position for either an experienced practitioner or early careers teacher who wishes to develop their practice in a supportive and innovative environment. Whilst we are offering an MPS/UPS salary for this role, a recruitment and retention allowance could be considered.

We are extremely proud to be Peterborough's only STEM-specialist school. We offer state of the art labs and classrooms, where we are able to deliver specialist education, a tailored curriculum and a caring pastoral programme.

The successful applicant will work within a well-established, expanding team of specialist teachers.

The ideal candidate

• An excellent classroom practitioner with outstanding subject knowledge 
• Able to teach pupils across KS3, GCSE and A-Level
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Qualified Teacher Status and degree in specialist subject
• Evidence of both curricular and pastoral responsibilities
• An excellent understanding and commitment to teaching standards, with the ability to provide stimulating and engaging learning experiences
• Ability to foster, promote, and maintain good relationships
• An excellent communicator and team player
• A creative thinker, with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work
