Ruislip High School opened in 2006 due to the demand for secondary school places in the local community.  In its short history, Ruislip High School has become a school of choice; it is a school both in, and for, its local community.  The examination results at GCSE are above national average for attainment with a Progress 8 score in the top 30% of schools.  


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to join our Mathematics Department.  


In June 2017, Ruislip High School secured its best set of external examination results. At GCSE level, 76% of students attained 9-4 grades in both English and Mathematics and 51% for both 9-5 grades. The results in Mathematics remain consistently high with 80% of students attaining grade 4 or higher and 56% of students attaining at least a grade 5.  The school’s A-level results were the best to date particularly the number of top grades attained.  Over a quarter of the students who applied to higher education secured a place at a Russell Group university. 


The successful applicant will:

• be an excellent and ambitious classroom teacher

• have a good understanding of the current educational developments, especially those relating to classroom based practice

• have the highest expectations of students

• have an enthusiastic and positive approach within and beyond the classroom

• have energy, stamina and a sense of humour

Ruislip High School, based in Middlesex, is a secondary academy for girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 18. Currently there are 1300 students enrolled at the school, located in Hillingdon. It opened in 2006 and was converted to academy status in on April 1, 2014.
