King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Mathematics teacher to join an exceptional department on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will start in September 2024 until and complete a full academic year with us. For this reason, the post is also suitable for an Early Career Teacher.

Mathematics is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. With 83% of grades at 9–4, 66% of grades at 9–5 and 32% of grades at 9–7 in GCSE Mathematics in 2023, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative department. You will need to teach to at least GCSE level; there may be an opportunity for a suitable candidate to contribute to post-16 courses.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm and excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
