We are seeking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Teacher of Maths to join our popular and oversubscribed Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and inspirational teacher who is passionate about teaching the subject of Maths. Both experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged to apply.
Mathematics teachers at the Academy plan and teach a curriculum which is inspiring and challenging and includes creative ideas with lively enriching activities. We have a mathematics team that is supportive, proactive and dedicated to ensuring that every child at TGAW is able to flourish and grow. We provide additional morning and after school interventions for year 11 students and this has contributed to our strong GCSE results. We aim to teach our students to be confident, questioning and independent mathematicians; to be able to make connections between maths in their other subjects. Our marking and feedback are diagnostic which has a positive impact on improvement. We have a growing sixth form which includes a Maths class.
We are proud of the fantastic progress since the Academy opened and are proud of the friendly and work focussed relationship that the maths staff engender with the students. We work collaboratively with all the schools within the Trust to share expertise and benefit from more robust and reliable assessment data.
