Film and Media Studies is a very successful and popular subject within the school, consistently achieving outstanding results. In 2017, 96% of students obtained A*-C at GCSE and 88% of students obtained A*-C at A Level. In recent years many of our students have gone on to some of the top Film and Media universities. We have strong connections with the BFI and The Media Education Association. Many students attend residentials at the National Film and Television School and have made great early strides into the film industry. The Department is very well equipped, with two Multi-Media Suites each containing over 20 Mac computers, a number of high quality video cameras and a functioning green room. The school also has a fully equipped theatre with professional lighting and sound equipment and two drama studios. 

Whitefield is a rapidly improving school. Our examination results continue to rise year on year. But we still have ambitious plans for the future.
